You're looking at beautiful Fender American vintage '57 Stratocaster in transparent aged white blonde finish on a gorgeous wide grain Northern Ash body, weighs 4,0 kg / 8,8 lbs. The finish has a gorgeous luster and really allows the sweet Ash woodgrain to radiate. Vintage-style Nitroceluose lacquer finish is thinner than modern finishes, allowing the ash body to "breathe" and enhance tonally as it ages. Soft V-shaped neck plays fast, and is true to 1957-style Strats. Comes with vintage 3-position switch and three specially-voiced American Vintage '57/'62 Strat single-coil pickups that 
are wound to match the sound and specs of original '50s pickups. Aged plastic knobs, switchcaps and pickguard complete the vintage look. American Vintage Series Stratocaster® is based on the design of original 1957 Strats in every aspect.

Not to worry, as Fender has thoughtfully included a five-position switch kit, should you wish to access those classy, classic tones with less hassle. Either way, the '57 sounds just like the best Strat off the assembly line during that historic year.

This Strat packs a trio of American Vintage '57/'52 Strat single-coil pickups, specially wound to period-correct specs and tone. You get the same tonal versatility that made the Strat the legend it is today. The stock '57/'62 pickups were not marked in any way and they are wound to be "vintage sounding". All 3 would have black and white cloth wire. If you hold the magnets from each one up against each other, they should all repel, since they are all the same polarity for this set.
