Fender '57 Stratocaster Reissue Made in Mexico (MIM). The serial number is MN9377259 and it was made in 99/00. These were an exact replica of the 1950's pre-CBS '57models. This guitar is like brand new, this guitar has mint condition! ;-) The neck is thick. This neck feels huge with tiny frets, but that's part of the mojo and I really like it. One piece maple neck with 'skunk stripe'. The profile is known as a 'soft V' and is quite chunky. It has 21 vintage style frets and this maple neck has frets stabbed directly into neck, no fretboard. The frets are in good condition with no fret buzz. The guitar has perfect intonation and the neck is just perfekt, fits, feels, plays, responds, without a hitch. I'm convinced that big one-piece necks are part of the recipe for great tone. The tuners are vintage Kluson style tuners which are the nicest looking for Stratocaster style guitars ever used. The Kluson style tuners work perfectly and the trem with 'Fender' stamped string saddles is typical of all Fender vintage setups. It is therefore a fully fledged Reissue model and not one of the economy versions. This is the Premium version, not the standard! This is the ST57 model with alder body, CTS pots and steel trem block. The Surf green color finish looks great. This guitar has a two-piece body from alder and this Strat is as good as any American Deluxe strat if not better. It's a nice playing instrument that sounds absolutely great. It has 2 calibrated American HOT Alnico 3 single coil pickups in the neck and middle positions and SEYMOUR DUCAN SHR-1b mini humbucker in the bridge. This strat has been shamefully under-played! As you can see in the pictures, the finish has a beautiful luster and the hardware glows with no signs of fading or tarnish. The guitar is in great condition with no nicks or dings... the neck is straight with no cracks or repairs... and the sound is just as sweet as it gets !! I love everything about this strat, it "feels" like a custom shop Fender !!
